Jewellery is undeniably a powerful element of any outfit. You must have experienced a moment when a simple pair of gold hoop earrings instantly elevated your look, or when a statement necklace helped you stand out from the crowd. Adding jewellery to your work attire is a guaranteed way to bring a layer of polish to your looks, whether you prefer classic hoops or chunky necklaces and bracelets.
However, the amount and size of jewellery you wear may depend on your chosen industry and work culture. During my professional career working for financial institutions in London and Copenhagen, I noticed each city has its unique jewellery signature - although there were no explicit rules from the companies, an implicit culture that permeates how people dress. In Copenhagen, a more minimalist style with flair is the norm. In the City of London, a more maximalist fashion is standard. In Canary Wharf, minimalism is the norm - almost to the point of sterility. These observations, however, only apply to financial institutions; those working for creative and start-up companies tend to have more freedom to express themselves.
Nonetheless, regardless of where you work, it's important to have a professional wardrobe that reflects your character and helps command a presence that supports your continued success. Therefore, I've gathered some jewellery styling tips that may help you.

Be Strategically Selective
It's crucial to be selective with your purchases, especially when it comes to jewellery. Owning fewer pieces that you truly love and wear frequently is much more valuable than having a closet full of jewellery that you never utilise. Being selective and confident in your choices ensures that you get exactly what you want and need without any doubts or regrets. Don't settle for anything less than what you truly desire and stay confident in your decisions!
Think professionally!
Your appearance, including your choice of jewellery, is a way to communicate your personal style and professional image to the world. It's important to strike a balance between expressing yourself and maintaining a professionally appropriate look - especially in conservative corporate environments. By being strategically selective in your fashion choices, you can convey chicness and personality without crossing that thin line.

Show your full personality on Fridays
In conservative, traditional corporate offices, Fridays are the only days employees can express their fashion personalities - subject to some limitations, such as no ripped jeans or flip-flops. I always used gemstone jewellery to showcase my playful and stylish side. That's why I was thrilled when designing AJỌṢEPỌ's Gemstone Collection, as it empowers women to confidently display their fun and fashionable sides.
