CHARLOTTE STAVROU - CEO & FOUNDER OF SEVENSIX AGENCY
A powerhouse in the marketing industry, Charlotte Williams founded SevenSix Agency to champion diversity and inclusivity in influencer marketing. She’s passionate about creating space for underrepresented voices and driving real change in the industry.
What do you do, and what do you love most about it?
I’m the founder of an award-winning influencer marketing and talent management agency in London. I get to work with incredible brands and creators, helping them build meaningful campaigns that actually resonate with audiences. What I love most is the power of social media to create real change—whether that’s helping creators turn their passions into full-time careers or pushing brands to be more inclusive in their marketing.
What inspired you to pursue this career?
I’ve always been obsessed with social media and the way online communities come together. I started out in digital marketing, but when influencer marketing really took off, I fell in love with it. There’s something so exciting about seeing people connect with content in an authentic way—and knowing you played a part in making that happen.
What changes have you seen in the industry regarding diversity, and what still needs to improve?
Since I started my agency in 2019, we’ve seen a big shift—there’s more representation, and people of colour are getting a seat at the table. But diversity needs to go beyond just ticking a box. I’d love to see more strategy behind it, ensuring that representation is meaningful and not just performative. And diversity isn’t just about race and ethnicity—it’s about making sure the teams behind these campaigns are truly diverse in their backgrounds, perspectives, and lived experiences. That’s when we’ll see real change.
What advice would you give women looking to enter the influencer or marketing industry?
Network and know your craft. Relationships are everything in this industry—if you’re on the marketing side, build strong connections with influencers and their managers. If you’re in talent management (or an influencer yourself), get to know brands and PRs. Also, stay on top of industry trends. The influencer world moves fast, and the more you understand what’s working (and what’s not), the better positioned you’ll be.
How do you approach confidence and self-expression in your work?
Confidence has definitely come with age and experience. I always say—if you know your craft inside out, that should give you a level of confidence. And let’s be real—how many men do we know who are so sure of themselves but don’t actually know what they’re talking about? If they can be confident, so can we.
Who is the woman that has inspired you the most, and why?
My Nan is one of the most inspiring women I’ve ever met. Her stories are incredible—how she built a career, travelled the world, met amazing people, and created a life for herself and her family against all odds. She’s a reminder that resilience, curiosity, and determination can take you anywhere.
What does female empowerment mean to you?
It’s about choice and opportunity. Women should have the freedom to carve out their own paths, whatever that looks like for them—whether it’s leading a company, building a personal brand, or doing something completely different. Empowerment is about making sure women are given the same opportunities and the support to thrive.
What’s your favourite or most worn AJOSEPO piece, and why?
I have the Demeter Gold Ring, and I wear it all the time. The shape is so unique, and it has such a luxe feel. It’s one of those pieces that instantly elevates any outfit—whether I’m in jeans and a tee or dressing up for an event.
