On the evening of February 19th, in the vibrant heart of Notting Hill, AJOSEPO proudly hosted its first Women in Business dinner at the stunning Princess Royal, specifically in the intimate and elegant Charlotte Room. The gathering was conceived from a heartfelt desire to unite a select group of influential women—leaders from diverse industries—who could share their insights, foster authentic connections, and explore unexpected avenues for collaboration and mutual support.
The guest list was meticulously curated, showcasing women who have passionately supported AJOSEPO and offered invaluable guidance at pivotal moments in our journey so far, as well as those whom I have long admired and sought to connect with on a deeper level. It was an absolute privilege to share a table with such remarkable individuals, each bringing their unique experiences and expertise, all driven by a common ambition for success and a meaningful impact in their respective fields.
A unique addition to the evening was Miro’s presence – the other AJOSEPO partner and the only man in the room. This intentional choice reflected our commitment to inclusivity; future gatherings will continue to embrace representation from all genders—individuals who actively advocate for equality and embody genuine allyship. Beyond his support, Miro also captured the essence of the evening through his exquisite photography, ensuring that beautiful mementoes were created so that memories could be cherished after the event.
Regarding the event's location, I chose to host the first gathering in Notting Hill—a vibrant area where I once lived and grew to appreciate its charming streets and eclectic atmosphere. Upon discovering that the Charlotte Room at the Princess Royal was available (a special shoutout to Emily), I seized the opportunity without hesitation. The room’s sophisticated design and warm, inviting ambience created the perfect backdrop for our gathering—intimate yet elegant, complete with tasteful decor that made every guest feel comfortable and welcomed. The plush seating and soft, ambient lighting added an extra layer of cosiness, ensuring that all guests felt at home while enjoying the lively spirit of the area.
The evening was further elevated by the exceptional service provided by the staff, particularly Megan and Mohammed. Their attentiveness and professionalism ensured that every detail was executed flawlessly. From the delicious food and wine, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, to the seamless flow of the evening, every aspect was thoughtfully managed, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves. Deep conversations unfolded, unexpected collaborations sparked to life, and most importantly, lasting relationships formed. It was sincerely a wonderful night!
Looking ahead, I aim to create more opportunities to organise events centred on empowering women in business. I envision future gatherings that will showcase aspiring female leaders, fostering valuable connections through our collective engagement. Ultimately, I believe these efforts can positively impact society and contribute, in its own way, to equality and allyship. I cannot wait for the next event! Until then, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the remarkable women who made this evening truly special—Marine, Jue, Debby, Jimena, Monika, and Joy—and to Miro for capturing every unforgettable moment. This was merely the beginning—the first of many AJOSEPO x Women in Business gatherings. We are thrilled about what lies ahead, as each event will serve as a testament to the power of bringing the right people together.
