We recently spent 72 hours in Amsterdam. This was our second trip this year, following our first visit in March, for which we wrote a guide. We enjoyed it so much that we decided to return for a summer stay. It was a wonderful escape from London—exploring the architecture, food, art, shopping, canals, streets, and more. Amsterdam remains one of our favourite cities to visit, so hopefully the highlights from our recent trip serve as inspiration for your visit.
Stay at Hoxton Lloyd Amsterdam | compulsory
We have covered all the reasons for staying here in our March Guide, so we are not going to rehash them here. Having stayed there three times now, we stand firmly by our recommendation and implore you to stay here.

Breakfast at Yusu | compulsory
Another café joint we previously visited in March and were so thoroughly impressed with. If you love eating great food, coffee, and matcha or hochija in a beautiful aesthetic, do head here.

Lunch at Foodhallen | compulsory
We grabbed the tastiest oysters and sushi here and cannot recommend this joint enough. It's like a Timeout Market, but I would say the quality is much better. We recommend grabbing your food to go, nabbing a spot by the canal, and having a vibey time over great food.

Dinner at Soho House Amsterdam | compulsory
This is another highly recommended joint. If you're looking for excellent food with generous portions in a curated, aesthetic setting, head here. Access to the house is exclusive to members or hotel guests. If you're not a member, staying here is also a great option; we've done so before and had a wonderful experience. We suggest arriving early to enjoy the rooftop pool, perhaps with churros and cocktails or mocktails, if you prefer.

Coffee at Reload | skip
This spot is okay. We anticipated a much better experience given the rave reviews, but honestly, it was just average. Instead, we recommend heading to Uncommon Café, which has better aesthetics and coffee.
